These invitations can be used for weddings, anniversary parties, Christenings or any event that requires an RSVP.

Staying true to the mission of this site these invitations are inexpensive, easy and look good.    The samples shown are just a basic idea that can be changed easily by using colored card stock or different paper punches.

Paper and sizes used:
The back piece is 67lb card stock 7 “ x 5 “.  You can get 2 back pieces from a standard 8.5 x 11 inches sheet of card stock.

30lb vellum is used for the text piece. You can get 4 text pieces from a standard 8.5 x 11 inches sheet of card stock.

The frame piece, the piece that shows through the punched out design, is silver text weight paper 5 ¾ inches by 4 ½ inches. You can get 2 frame pieces from a standard 8.5 x 11 inches sheet paper.

The punched piece is 67lb card stock 5 ½ by 4 ¼ inches. You can get 4 punch pieces from a standard 8.5 x 11 inches sheet of card stock.

Directions:

1. Print out the text pieces and the response cards so that you can cut them at the same time as you cut the punch pieces as they are the same size.  It will save you time in setting out the paper cutter or measuring area.

2. Cut out all pieces so that when you are ready to assemble them it will be an easy assembly line set up.

3. Punch the design in the punch piece.

5. Secure the text piece to the punch piece with the ribbon.

6. Glue the frame piece to the back piece making sure it is centered top to bottom and side to side.

7. Glue the punch piece with the text piece attached to the frame piece.  Make sure no glue comes through the punched out areas or it will fog up the vellum and look nasty.  Use a permanent stick glue, it is the easiest to use.  DO NOT use a washable glue because your invitation may fall apart in the mail if the weather is a bit humid or damp.  Double faced tape can be used in place of glue but costs more.

Die cuts can also be used instead of ribbon.  There are some great die cuts for sale by an Etsy seller called eslella.  The shell is an example of the die cuts I found there.
